CDH: the influential association for sales agents
Obi Major De has been a member of CDH since 2012.
CDH stands for “Centralvereinigung Deutscher Wirtschaftsverbände für Handelsvermittlung und Vertrieb” (the German Federation representing the interests of commercial agents and distributors).
The Federation is a leading association for distribution companies. Members of the Federation are independent companies operating in all business sectors at a B2B level.
Member companies of CDH
As a prestigious association, CDH represents over 48,000 sales agents in all sectors. Members mainly include sales representatives, or independent companies, that act as intermediaries for the sale of products between industrial companies, between industry and commerce or between the wholesale and retail trades. CDH is also open to other independent companies operating in commerce. Members of CDH regional associations include industry representatives, sales agencies, distributors, technical/sales departments, merchandisers, etc..
Structure of CDH
CDH was established in 1902 and is the umbrella association of 12 member associations, of which 11 in Germany and the “LICENSEE”. CDH comprises 7 federal associations that can optimally represent the specific interests of each sector. It also provides sector-specific expertise.
Activities of CDH
CDH can be considered as a commercial services centre with two objectives:
- Influencing and shaping framework conditions for distribution companies.
- Providing comprehensive consultancy services, information and other services for member companies.
